Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you upgrade your gear without having depend on costly trades or drops. This article will teach you how to upgrade your gear.
Upgrades to equipment give a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus is depending on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons stronger. They can be obtained by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres, or purchasing them from karma sellers. They can also be rescued from equipment that contains them, or by utilizing an advanced salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items, upgrade components are not destroyed when removed from an item.
Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to increase the level of an upgradeable item, or they can be used to enhance the amount of experience gained from upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can also be made to give additional bonuses. A glyph that is crafted can boost the upgrade chances of its target, and an upgrade boosts the attack or defense attributes of the weapon.
You can bind an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the upgrade components to which the item can be upgraded. You can also use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component is assigned an experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item can gain when upgraded using the component. Organic components, for example, have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade using organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier for the next rank of equipment or weapon, and then change to mechanical upgrades.

In addition to the experience multiplier every item also has an maximum number of upgrades it can receive. The number of upgrades available is determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the type of upgrade for the upgradeable item. For instance, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon with tier 10. However, the most commonly used weapon upgrades are the tier 6 weapon and an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a group of items that have the benefit of. Each item can be upgraded at minimum once. The upgrade increases the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. When you first upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. After subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be increased a bit more (for example, +1 to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item with an additional stats will be increased randomly.
The upgrade of a weapon can increase the damage base, which can be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to a higher defense base than their normal base. It is possible to increase the value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, however they may not always be better than a Runeword with a high level.
If the item you're upgrading comes with a guaranteed bonus, it can be rerolled only once, and then its guarantee will be reset to zero. The same power die is used to reroll an item, just as it would be to increase its level. However, the new item has different bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will require a power die of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the right amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also provide an extra reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time and the reroll will use the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
If players have enough rerolling tokens, they can roll any item they've acquired during the game. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced with the same level in another set. Reroll tokens can be bought from the store for a small amount of in-game currency. However, they cannot be refunded. The new item will come with the same bonus features as the original, but the stats will be different.
Players can change the identification of equipment in addition to rerolling it by interacting with an NPC upgrader. This will change the identification from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, all the while maintaining its base stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that are wearing the gear.
Players can also boost the item level of any equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade components and interacting with the NPC who upgrades the item. This will cost a set amount of crests as well as Valorstones dependent on the upgrade track and kind. Each step will give 5percent more damage to weapons.
Upgrading an item will make it more powerful however it can also decrease its quality. It is therefore important to strike a balance between the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading however, others will need to be upgraded in order to realize their potential. A player may want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modification (% block chance or FHR) in order to see what else it can be.
Rerolling is a popular practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. It is a method used by players in order to get the character or weapon they cannot otherwise get. These items are time-consuming and costly to acquire, and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only alternatives are to spend real money or grind extensively. Rerolling is extremely popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
When upgrading an item you can choose to upgrade the weapon or armor. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I believe that this feature was created to give value to rare and expensive items. However, since the majority of items are replaced quite quickly, and can only be leveled up one level, you will generally replace it before it gets too old. It is also not worth upgrading items using gem sockets since the power of the gem will outweigh any increment in the ilvl.
You will see a small box when you click the upgrade option for an item. It will display the template for the item, its crest, and the Valorstone cost to raise the item level. item upgrading will differ between armor and weapons and the latter typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template shows the stats that will be added to the upgraded item. It it also lists the current base ilvl.
The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated according to the item's current ilvl as well as the upgrade template. In addition, the ilvl of the new upgraded item will be reduced by the upgrade template's lvl decrease percentage. For example weapons with an upgrade decrease of 8% will reduce its count by 8-8 percent.
In addition to the base ilvl boost it will also be upgraded in other stats such as critical strike damage, PvE damage, dodge, block and parry rating. These increases are based on the upgrade template.
The amount of damage and defense that the item receives when leveled up can be seen below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. In addition to practice equipment, all other armor and weapons gain the same stats when they are leveled up. The market determines the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can command an incredibly higher price than an unupp'd version. The same applies to other armor pieces like circlets and tiaras.
